I registered my first domain, partenon.com, in November 1997 and have published several ezines during these years. Publishing ezines is maybe the very best way to build a responsive list. People you can send email to without spam accusations, if you do it correct.

Publishing a small ezine is not a big deal. Look at me. After reading this you may say "how can that guy publish ezines with that bad English". But I am, with great success. English is not my native language and if I can, you for sure can.

It's a couple of things you need to think of, though.

You must publish regularly! Don't just send a "spam email" when you have something you want to promote for yourself. That is NOT ezine publishing and might very well give you spam accusations. Let the subscribers know when they can expect your ezine and really let them get it on a specific publishing day!

You can't just publish an "ad sheet". Your ezine must have content. Best is if you write something yourself to make it personal. Include an interesting article on the topic of your ezine. Articles can easy be found. Just search Google for article libraries. Or use the articles here.
It's free to use if you just include the editors information at the end of the articles. It's the way to "pay" for the article.

Make a template to easy copy and paste content to a new issue you are working with. That way you do not have to re-write all in your ezine every time you are publishing and your ezine will be "uniformed". People will recognize it.

EXAMPLE!

=======================================
YOUR EZINE NAME.
Write here your disclaimer. Tell the subscribers that your ezine is a double optin ezine list. Tell them that unsubscribe info can be found at the end.

TOP SPONSOR AD.

YOUR OWN RANTING.

CLASSIFIED ADS.

GUEST ARTICLES.

CLASSIFIED ADS.

ENDING, with unsubscribe information.
Note that you must include your own psychical address here.
Don't worry, I have never received any un-wanted calls at the door. :-)

=================================

When you make your first ezine, save a copy as template and just replace the old text with the new. If you do this rationally it will be done rather fast.

WHERE DO I FIND A GOOD LISTSERVER?

Don't send your ezine from your own website/server. It's always a risk of spam accusations, even if you follow all rules. It could mean risk of being shut down by your webhost or ISP.

I have for several years used http://www.yourmailinglistprovider.com It's free up to 1000 subscribers and when you get there it's a really small fee paid via PayPal. But when you get to 1000 subs you are probably making money.

WHERE TO GET SUBSCRIBERS?

Well, it's a numbers of different ways. One of the best is to participate in my '2Bucks' an Ad ezine program. You can start from zero subscribers and you will get lot's of really valuable subscribers. All proven buyers. Free to join and participate and you will also get commission on sold ads if clients are coming from your ClickBank link.
